Show Us Again

In 2013, Kobe Bryant tore his achilles tendon. Many speculated that his career was over. We responded with the following challenge that ran in Nike's social channels and in the LA times. It was the most shared Nike social post ever. When Kobe saw it he gave us a special shoutout and changed the image to his avatar.

Count On Kobe

In Kobe's 18th season most the kids we were talking to had never seen a world without a dominant Kobe Bryant. So we wrote about that.

Kobe Counter

The #CountOnKobe counter counts the number of people counting on Kobe. It counts youtube views, hashtags, instagrams, likes, wishes, hopes, fist bumps, internet yelling and any other way fans show they're depending on Kobe to come through in the clutch. And Kobe always comes through, if he feels like it. Featured on Nike Basketball's YouTube channel, the counter is also embeddable on any website, anywhere on the web.

The counter launched when Kobe Bryant live tweeted the rebroadcast of his historic 81 point game. While people tuned in to watch the game, hundreds of thousands tweeted the event along with Kobe and all the action showed up on screen. It was the first live tweet experience of an archival game by a major athlete. You should ask me about the case study video. We won a Shorty for best use of a hashtag on Twitter

High School Running

I ran cross country in high school. So I know that most runners need a barf bag when they've finished the race. So we made some. For track season we took over Runnerspace.com and enabled high school athletes to create posters of their personal records.
